Facial cleansing is the essential first step of any skincare routine. It rids the skin of impurities that have accumulated (sebum, perspiration, dead cells, bacteria, cosmetics, solar filters, make-up, dust and other particulate pollutants), in order to prepare the skin for other care. Without this essential cleansing in the morning and evening, the skin becomes asphyxiated: the hydrolipidic film no longer plays its protective role and pores become clogged. As a result, irregularities appear and the complexion is dull and uneven. For combination or oily skin, cleansing is even more important since there is excess sebum.
